One thing really troubles me about the GX...
Compaq is likely going to price them high so as to maximize their profit and not cannibalize their Pentium Notebooks. This results in other OEMs selling Pentium Notebooks at or under Compaqs prices for the GXms. As long as NSM is so capacity restrained we won't see many other OEMs using the GXm in notebooks so where is the competition going to come from to make Compaq sell the GXm notebook at the same margins as the Pentium MMX notebooks. The should sell for $700-$800 less...but will they?
