I agree but my original question was premised on a rapidly rising money supply, which seems to have been the case in recent months. If I understand your post, you would agree that if the money supply increases rapidly, there would be no deflation, but you don't accept the premise. By the way I have seen so many comments regarding money supply saying it is up or down or rising rapidly or rising slowly, that I simply do not know.

Do you think Greenspan would rather have a depression than increase money supply? Isn't that the choice?
