I just got Rajesh on the phone of Investors Relation.

That's what I got from the call.

1. As other people mentioned they will meet estimates this quarter. After he said that, I just asked about what will happen the following quarters. He said that there will be a company statement with earnings release. But that he will not be able to comment anything now.

2. I asked about the earning releases date. He said that it is scheduled for Monday 26 although there is a chance it will be done the Friday before.

3. I asked then about the vowing anouncements. He said all the announcements were there already. I asked specifically to tell me which were the two announcements, and he said he couldn't comment about that.

4. I asked about how much percentage af sales were in Asia and South America in this quarter. He said that he still does not have those numbers and that he couldn't say to me.

5. I asked if sales in Europe were stronger, he said that no just as expected. I asked about the old statement that they were selling more DVD than they expected in Europe. He say he never say that. I told him I remember to ask him that question in one of my older calls (When the first big drop) pointing a news somebody put in Silicon Investors chat. He told me that Chat sometimes put out of context the things and that as for him that comment was not done.

6. I asked if the devaluation of currency in Asia could not help in fact Creaf. He said yes. All the manufacturing cost will decrease a lot. However, the things they buy to other companies like DVD were still done in American Dollars. So just in manufacturing.
He pointed here again that Asia devaluation has blow up the adquisition power of Asian people.

7. Finally, I asked if the management was still optimistic as they were in COMDEX. He said he could not comment.

Let me interpret my way what I spoke with Investor Relation.

1. They are going to meet estimates, in fact I can think that they will beat them by a little, not very much, but a little. If not they could not assure 2 weeks before earning releases that statement.

2. Next quarters, I think they don't have any idea what is going to happen. If Asian flu stays as now, they will have problems to meet estimates. However they are in better position than any other company in the Computer business. In my opinion, they should have higher P/E ratios than any of the boxmaker, than any of the multimedia companies producing in the States, etc....
3. Press Relation has done a TERRIBLE job. If I go to the next annual meeting next year, I will ask for a dimision of those people.
A. The vowing announcements were done to early. They didn't succeed in making one with a boxmaker. None of the announcements done is vowing, and they didn't intend to be vowing either. They just announced someting they still didn't have, and at the end they also didn't get it.
B. They said they sold more DVD that they really didn't. Another statement without data. Another Strong error.

So all together, I got the feeling I should be a little less optimistic about the company. Is good and is trading at a ridiculous price, but I don't think it will double so quick. Maybe we should expect a 24-26 range after earnings, and after will see, depend how Asia is doing. Fundamentals are still strong, extremely strong, but the company as any company in the computer business has to see how to contrarest the loss in Asia.
