Been following solar phenomena for many years. There are some excellent, data rich, hard science websites out there. (If there's any interest? I'll post a few of those another time). In recent years, the earth has begun what's know as a Grand Solar Minimum. This is an extended period of low solar output lasting decades characterized by lower average global temperatures.

As you can see from the graph above, the last such occurrence was the Dalton Minimum which began in the late 18th Century and continued well into the 19th Century.

en.wikipedia.org

The Grand Minimum before it took place in the 17th Century. It was more severe and lasted considerably longer than Dalton. It's known as the Maunder Minimum, or Little Ice Age.

en.wikipedia.org

The geological record evidenced by cored deep sea sediments, polar ice cores, etc. show these Grand Minimums stretch far back into pre-history.

Under the circumstances, it's more than a little amusing to watch the, gullible, uninformed, left make total fools of themselves parroting the completely bogus claims of global warming generated by financially captive scientists funded by government grants, in many western nations, or working outright for those governments.

Have to leave it there.
