Hi guys, I'm still watching and waiting for a good buying opportunity. What do people think is a good entry price? Also, I am becoming increasingly concerned that intc is either going to miss its numbers Tuesday or say something negative in its conference call which will cause the market to tank, possibly even another 300-500 down day. In that case, all the hi-tech stocks will get massacred, and this time maybe they will stay down for a good while. Another concern I have is the creaf's 52 week low is around 9. That means, if there is some negative surprise I could lose half my money from where it is now. I really like creaf and love their recent acquisitions but I'm a cheapskate and bottom fisher and like to get stocks when they're near their 52 week lows. If intel crashes and takes the market with it I will definitely get in to creaf but I can't decide if it's worth the risk to get in now. How many of you guys have protective puts? I really messed up because I should have bought protective puts when it jumped above 20 last week. Poor planning.

"What do you think INTC earnings will be?"

I dunno. That's one of the reasons I'm out. I'd much rather watch the show from a comfortable chair. Hey, I didn't get my 10 points, but I did get a nice profit.

"I was surprised when you went long INTCW few days ago."

Was strictly technical. It gave quite a buy signal. May still be fine, as there was some really serious buying today. However, the same indicator that got me in got me out this afternoon.

In fact, the indicator suggested a sell a couple of days ago, the first time INTC made an attempt at 75. I ignored it (mistake) saying I'd get out on the NEXT downside crossover. (Which I did today.) Of course, I'd hoped that would be at a higher price than the first one. But if I'd been paying attention, I could have made just about the same trip twice.

From now on (well, with the market as it is right now...) I buy on the buy crossover of my 1-hour bar indicator, and sell on the next sell crossover. Period. That gets me 2-3 days in a trade, max, which is perhaps appropriate for this market. I'm also looking for good shorts - I do agree with Chip that CTXS - did well with that one on the upside, mebbe can do it again on the downside...
