The US has a history of getting along with its two border neighbors. But the illegal drug and people crossing is a problem along the Mexican border that needs to be addressed. As far as being generous goes, this is by far the most generous nation in the history of the earth. If you don't know that, you don't know much of anything. BTW, my personal experience with hispanics is very positive. For the most part, they come here legally and strive to be productive residents. It is the holes in our immigration system and the dumb largess of our welfare state that have caused resentment among many citizens and legal working immigrants.
