Brian...the DRAM price is moving in the right direction.....however, as I stated yesterday...the increase in price is not due to shortage of capacity but more due to reduction in production.

As soon as the DRAM price gets to a profitable level....the folks who have cut back will crank up the fabs again. Unfortunately, this will not help AMAT in the short term.....I'm not sure how much of AMAT's business is selling spare parts and other consumables for keeping the tools running...but mothballing tools will impact that part of the business.

This is good news for MU..since they are the lowest cost producer and the uptick in DRAM price will make them profitable before the other DRAM makers. DRAM needs to go upto the $4.50 level for it to be profitable for the asians. It's at $3.50 and climbing.
