Donald: I agree with you on both counts for the Indonesian economic difficulties being a positive for Antares. I knew about the second point, but I'm glad you brought up the first point on the money exchange. Too often we stress on the negative points.

The Indonesian government and the people must surely appreciate that Antares helps bring money into the country and also helps create jobs for some people there. The country needs all the help it can get to get it through these rough times. When the mining operation starts that will bring even more money and jobs into Indonesia. Antares is likely to receive all the co-operation from Indonesia it needs to get the mines going. Maybe that is the third positive point to Antares for the Indonesian economic difficulties.

Anybody know of a fourth positive point?

Regards,
Ray Fidler

Beneficial to a point.

DFK - You make some good points. I aggree with you .... to a point.... current conditions could help persuade Indo gov't to play nice. Unless, of course things get seriously out of control leading to coups, new possibly ultra fundamentalists regime, etc. etc. etc.

Keep in mind that 1/2 the negative impact is that it reinforces Indo as a risky place to invest. That's something the market already believes and this could delay the change in that sentiment.

Personally, I like your outlook. Hope the market sees it that way asap. On the up side, Indo market is up just over 1% at this time ... hope it's not the proverbial dc bounce.

PS.. anybody know the facts regarding whether the drilling contract is based on local currency or $US ?
