Don't worry, Mueller won't be making any charges of witchcraft.

Bannonbart banned from Trumpov rally for Luther Strange

That’s Gotta Sting: Breitbart Is Denied Entry To Trump-Strange Rally In Alabama

Posted at 9:00 am on September 23, 2017 by Susan Wright

WAR!

Or that’s what it could be shaping up to be.

Once the Trump administration purged itself of all the alt-right figures, other than Trump, himself, watching Breitbart News to see how Steve Bannon would balance his loyalty to Trump with his devotion to the nationalist movement has become sport.

One of those early tests has been the GOP primary race in Alabama, between establishment pick, Luther Strange, and super-conservative Judge Roy Moore.

President Trump has thrown himself in fully behind the Mitch McConnell favorite, Strange. Breitbart, however, has endorsed Judge Moore. So how does that play in MAGA land?

According to a CNN report, Breitbart was instructed earlier this week to begin pumping out more negative press on Strange.

Quite the sticky wicket, right?

Trump was in Huntsville, Alabama on Friday night to rally support for Strange, who has lagged behind Moore in every poll. At one point, he was nearly 20 points behind.

So what happened when Breitbart showed up in Huntsville to cover the rally?

And Breitbart is denied entry into Trump-Strange rally #alpolitics

Oops.

So is this punishment for stepping out of line?

It’s hard to say, since there was no explanation given. Breitbart News has had no problem with press credentials or gaining access to Trump events in the past, however, so this does seem a bit off.

The reporter did manage to get in, but it doesn’t appear he got in as part of the press.

As Trump embraces more establishment types, as well as outright leftists, the very public breakdown of Breitbart should be amazing.

.....
Trump says the fake news media won't show the crowd at his rally — while CNN is literally running a split screen of the crowd.

?@JimDalrympleII

In fact, CNN had been running the split screen for most of the speech.

And of course, I know this will mean nothing to his supporters. Even faced with irrefutable evidence that Trump has no idea what he’s talking about, they will still bend their minds to accept only his version of reality.

It’s funny, right up to the point where you remind yourself this guy is our president.

In Alabama, Trump Attempts To Sell The Idea Of A Transparent Wall

Posted at 11:00 pm on September 22, 2017 by Susan Wright

Reminds me of the story of The Emperor's New Clothes.

President Trump must be going for the long con.

He’s already made the deal with Chuck and Nancy that he wouldn’t push for funding for the border wall, and then tried to placate his fan base by saying they would renovate the existing fencing along the border.

When the news broke, his base was not happy. While in Huntsville, Alabama, trying to rally support for Senate candidate Luther Strange on Friday night, Trump suggested that there would be a wall, after all, except it would be like Wonder Woman’s plane, or something – invisible.

“The wall is happening. In fact, you probably saw, you know, we have wall up there now, and re-renovating it already. It’s being made pristine, perfect, just as good as new, though we may go a little higher than that, but that’s okay. And we are building samples of a new wall. You know it has to be a see-through wall,” Trump said.

Notice what he said – we’re building “samples” of a new wall – not an actual wall.

And it’s going to be see-through.

“If you can’t vision through it, you don’t know who’s on the other side. Let’s say we build a pre-cast concrete wall and now we have people on the other side,” he continued, adding “It’s going to stop drugs. It’s going to stop a lot of bad things.”

If you can’t vision through it?

This is a lot of garbled double-talk that goes nowhere, and I don’t think he meant for it to go anywhere. He just needs for his followers to get lost in the word salad and believe he’s actually going to get that wall built.

He’s not.

Reminder:

"It's going to be made of hardened concrete, and it's going to be made out of rebar, and steel," Trump said at a December 2015 rally. He repeated the assertion most recently at a news conference in January of this year when he shot back at a reporter who asked him about the fence: "On the fence—it's not a fence. It's a wall. You just misreported it. We're going to build a wall."
