The way I understand it is that you have the Gold on surface in a certain or whatever rock type, when you drill as long as you are into that same rock type you keep going.

They probably capped it a 250M because wanted to drill at least several holes.

If the drill gets into a different rock type and does not go back out of it soon, usually a sign to stop.

All that said, nothing is certain to they get assays. Sometimes they find a different rock type carries the Gold too or more or less of it??
