Once we forget Reagan was wrong about the USSR, tax cuts and Iran/Contra etc. you might find one thing he was right on but I'd be hard-pressed to name it.

Reagan thought the USSR was far ahead of the US when it came to weapons which was sheer idiocy. Both countries could easily destroy each other hundreds of times over so more spending was wasted money.

Reagan also thought his tax cuts would result in balanced budgets but the debt nearly tripled.

Reagan was one of the worst presidents in history. The reason republicans like him is because he was able to lie and get away with lying.

Bill, among other things, Reagan helped usher in a period of conservatism that lasted many decades and arguably ended in 2009. Even Bill Clinton was more effective as a semi-conservative than as a liberal activist.

Obama tried to be the Reagan of liberalism but failed miserably. The only thing Democrats can do now, besides oppose Trump, is to double-down on socialism. Even that word "socialism," which has long held negative connotations, is making a comeback among left-wing circles.
