<"Need to ski while the body still works.."> Ain't that the truth... second day I go downhill skiing each season seems to be more painful than the previous season, finding forgotten muscles in the upper legs/knees especially... thinking I may have 7 or 8 more seasons before I begin risking serious injury... after that, will probably only don the snow shoes -- these new ones with high tech materials and designs are a joy compared to what I learned on in the 1970s!

I'm no longer there, but my brother tells me temps hit 90s at our place in NW Lower Mich. this week... water temps unreal for this time of year, both on Lake Mich. as well as the 8x3 mile inland lake (we have frontage on both)... he reports the leaves are disappointing as well, mostly shriveled brown things vs the normal explosion of colors around Oct. 1st when it typically peaks there.
