For whatever reason this has been going around for the past week.

I believe it is a dead issue, as I for one responded on it almost one year ago.

EDIT. I tried to find recent e-mail on it but it was deleted. I think even A. Vance mentioned it earlier....I don't know why, but some one is playing a practical joke. Much in the same vein as the people who spread the warnings about viruses that do not exist.

EDIT Again....here's a reply just received in e-mail....

We have a bum steer here I suckered for it and found out that a decision
on this action was made on this matter in may of 1997. Thankfully; and I
quote," The FCC decided in May 1997 NOT to allow imposition of interstate
access charges on Internet service providers. There is no comment period
currently open in this proceeding." Mr........., lets do our homework
before flying off the handle.
