STOCK EXCHANGES / TSE 35 Index Annual Revision TORONTO 35 INDEX ANNUAL REVISION TORONTO, Jan. 8 /CNW/ - The Toronto Stock Exchange, in conjunction with the Index Committee, has just completed the annual revision of the stocks comprising the Toronto 35 Index. The changes to the Index will be effective at the open on February 20, 1998. Please note that the February Toronto 35 Index Options and Futures contracts will be settled at the February 20, 1998 open based on the PREVIOUS Index composition. The new Index has been created effecting the following changes to the current Index: Increased: 700 shares of Laidlaw Inc. to hold 2200 Increased: 500 shares of Canadian Pacific Ltd. to hold 3000 Reduced: 500 shares of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce to hold 2500 Reduced: 200 shares of Toronto Dominion Bank to hold 1800 The complete list of the shares represented in the Toronto 35 Index is attached to this notice.
