TA does nothing more than use past share prices and volumes to predict the future. It' like trying to drive your car by looking in the rear view mirror and drawing conclusions about when, where, and in what direction the next turn will be. I've always been entertained by the crazy names the TA crowd seems to have for EVERY SINGLE trading pattern exhibited by a stock. In this case, even if you are not looking in the rear view mirror and are looking straight ahead to where you are going, the fog is so bad you can't see 100 yards.

Years ago, on another SNDK board, there was a TA acolyte that gave everyone frequent updates on the latest TA assessment for SNDK. I don't think a single prediction ever came true. I engaged in a discussion with him and made references to a couple of trading patterns occurring in previous weeks. We went back and forth for a couple of days discussing the validity of the patterns until I finally told him that I had made up the names and the patterns. He had completely bought into it. Doubt he is still doing TA, hope not.

So, the TA crowd has always been a source of entertainment, not much more. Some of the pattern names are pretty cool, though. How could you not get a chuckle out of...
