Kash,

The GX was migrated to IBM's 0.25u process and had MMX and certain other changes made. I'm sure they couldn't go into full scale production without taking a look at first silicon. Having seen it, they probably made some minor tweeks and started many more wafers. Even if full scale production started a month ago, it would be several more weeks until the parts are ready.

Kash,

The price of Cyrix 6x86MX seems to have dropped. Especially the PR233 rated parts. As low as $165 dollars for the PR233. Also availability seems to be up a little!
