Beautiful. If they complain about Asensio's "accuracy not guaranteed" clause they themselves have releases with "uncertainty and forward looking statements".
I am sure Asensio will respond to this.

What they have evidenced by this release is that they indeed DO feel a need to engage Asensio and it looks like Asensio is/has-been a very powerful factor on this stock; without their release engaging him, this was not obvious and it is good to know (I am sure Asensio's ego is boosted somewhat).
If short sellers were indeed wrong and inconsequential they would not feel a necessity for this desperate release; now they know they have AVNT by their b&*ls and the current stock holders are not able to propel their price much further.
Also they have not really been very convincing in their release about the contracts either the new information we have is that the customers are US semicon (who are they I am itching to short them) mfgs and the deal is till the end of dec 2000.
Will be interesting till Jan 15 because AVNT is getting desperate and I have never seen a company finding a need to engage short sellers in spite of their stock being very heavily shorted.
Yee Haw!

Actually, we couldn't be happier!!!!!

One of the surest signs that a company is really starting to crack is when they start offering shrill defenses to Asensio's reports (see Solv-ex and Ergobilt).

The reasoning here is that a strong, well-managed company probably wouldn't be bothered (not that they would be the subject of an Asensio "sell" recommendation anyway)...they would be too busy delivering great earnings and revenues.

Avant is run by a bunch of criminals, and just like a bum who knocks off a 7-11, they are screaming their innocence.

Avant is going to 0.

It doesn't annoy me at all, rather, I am amused. All of the companies that Asensio shorts issue releases saying he doesn't understand the intricacies of the ________ industry, and then go out of business. He may not know how the ________ industry works, but he sure is good at spotting a fraud.

Are you trying to "irratate" those that are "litarate"?

Learn how to spell...and pick stocks.

For the shorters, the sun will come out....tomorrow.

Thanks Annie

Annie,
Thanks for the post. Please contribute when you can and don't mind the unruly crowd of investors here in AVNT land, they mean well.
