Republicans spent the better part of the past 35 years bankrupting the country so all our social programs would go away. They called it "starve the beast." They thought their tax cuts would create so much debt that everything would collapse. They were right.They created massive debt, everything is collapsing and now they have no idea how to fix it.

They forgot that their party is the problem. They spend and spend and spend.
