Dave,
I think everyone in the business is looking for some sign of stabilization. Most of the subzero's are using EDO, and they helped use all that excess up, as Japan cuts back, Korean and Micron switch to SDRAM. It appears that EDO especially 4mx4 is just tightened up due to lack of availability. Some suppliers are having trouble with their new revisons on Sync 2mx8(LG/Hitachi). So there is always something that is going on that can cause temporary changes in the market.
It could help, I am not saying it will, its like predicting interest rate changes.
8Mx8 sync is also in stronger demand and people are willing to pay higher prices for it,. This is good. I suspect the CPU price drop with K6-233 going into TX motherboards that support 64M sync modules along with Intel's drop of Pentium II cpu's with the 440LX MB dropping in price over the past month is helping the demand pickup for the higher density sync modules. Finally.
Who knows how long it will last maybe a day or two, or a week, or two weeks. Everyday, is a new situation with so many factors, and bottom line its a commodity, supply and demand is the key. These little changes may or maynot lead to a longer term situation.
