John, since I wrote to Frank and told him that those markets may take a nap and come back better, I had to peek. You are too late. But I won't tell Frank anymore, maybe he will think in the morning that's all there is to it. I guess the IMF and those bankers did not do the trick. Maybe if the IMF says no more loans it will work better. Here applies the saying: You are damned if you do and damned if you don't. This could be a mess for a while. There is so much going on that I neglected the Philippines. All I know is that their Long Distance Tel. co. dropped a cpl. of points. If you follow all the news on those countries there is no more time left to check on stocks. Do they have options day in Manila also? gg. Well, I have tried to look for good news and I could not find any.

Things with the FTC and Intel don't look that great either. Sure hope Chips and T. goes through. DEC alpha deal could be delayed. What a shame. They may not be able to get those old fabs. gg. With all this competition out there, more than last time when the FTC came on to the scene, I wonder how many cos. cried foul this time. Don't mind my rambling on. It looks like investors may like the idea of things not working out in those departments. Go figure why the stock was up.

I think I go and watch some TV. Thanks for the latest e-mail. I just read it.

Sonny

John, where are you? Basking in the sun with your Y2K stocks and IDTC? What ya think? Does this weeks market qualify for me being right about this week being up? gg. You could send me a procentage of your gains?

Do you still have problem with SI or just too busy working and trading? I guess you got my e-mail answer. That was gross. I have to write to my kids about that. My son-in-law is always on the road and too darn friendly.
