Mostly the prez shouldn't get credit/crap for the biz cycle.. social reform sure... biz cycle has a life of its own... good and bad.. sure the environment can be made more fertile to a point.. but that is it IMO.. It's the safety nets etc that the prez has some control over if congress is willing... Every once in awhile though a prez lucks out and gets to ride the economic Hasselhoff... and take the credit It's a metaphor ... not a meme ...
