<Elmer , the use of questions in reaction to such a post
indicates to me that your intent is to somehow excuse the large gap between K6-3D performance and that of PII>

Nonsense Brian. You are seeing a single benchmark on a processor that is unavailable running on a chipset that is unavailable using drivers that are not available. You are comparing it to a system that is available now, not the one that will be available when the K6-3D finally comes out. You are placeing disporportionate emphysis on one aspect of performance. If you feel that accelerated 3D games on vaporware will move the market then fine. In my opinion this will not turn the tide. You have an overactive imagination in reading my posts.

Brian,

I always knew some day I was going to be able to get a cup of hot coffe from a Pentium II computer.<G>

"In regard to Intel's upcoming Pentium II for mobile computers, which is reported to increase heat, Mitsubishi is working on a
design that involves a hollow, sealed metal rod that contains water. When the liquid boils, the pressure inside the tube changes
and dissipates the heat. " It's like an old fashioned thermometer," said Dan Jones, senior manager of mobile product planning at
Mitsubishi."
