Every now and then the air-oholic stirs in me also. My personal weakness is JBLU, which I flirt with a couple times a year. I have to remind myself that at least 4 investors I have great respect for have been badly burned by airlines:

1) Buffett buying USAir preferred before the string of airline bankruptcies
2) Burry buying a large airline stock position right before 9/11
3) Branson's struggles growing Virgin Air
4) Julian Robertson's giant position in US Air in 2000

Whether I can eschew the forbidden fruit forever remains TBD. But when I do I'm sure I'll regret it.

AAWW. Aircraft leasing and servicing company. Stock below apparent tangible book value, with low p/e.
Business seems intact, growing. I add to my losing position with stock again approaching 12-mo low.
