Walt, I hope no one followed me over from the Ask God thread, or you could be in big trouble.

Still haven't gone to see the latest movies, it just too cold to go outside, -42 tonight. Walt, are you getting this cold weather where you are? I see they declared a state of emergency in Ottawa, because of the ice storms. Where is El Ninio when you need it!!

Carol

Walt--I also enjoyed SMILLA'S SENSE OF SNOW. My wife and I listened to the audio novel first and the movie captured the essence pretty well. When will they make a movie of another snow subject--SNOW FALLING ON CEDAR? That would make a great movie with the right director. Myron

Hi Walt: I rented Smilla's sense of snow. Boy you weren't kidding about being slow. The story was kind of interesting but very drawn out. Can't say I'd recommend it. But that's okay. I think you liked the snow scenes the best. Come on now confess.
I'm always amazed at how the natives of the north cope with such harsh climates.
One interesting character in Smilla's movie was the Dr. that did the autopsy. He's a main character in The Total Monty.

cheers
