The PR233 is starting to be available again?! Pricewatch.com also show another guy having this CPU at $189. Is this the 150mm die?

Joe, thanks for the tip on the availability of 166MHz 6X86mx chips at RealWorld. I am upgrading my home compter next week and will use this chip.

What would you recommend for a motherboard? I am planning on getting a Shuttle Hot 603 on the assumption that I can pop in a 300 MHz chip next year. Does this sould like a good board choice, or would you recommend something else?

Joe,

I am buying another system now. I think I will stick with PR-200. I thin I will get the CPU from real world for $103 (the 166 HMz variety)

The 166 MHz part is easy to overclock to 188 MHz (PR-233), but to overclock the 188 MHz part, you have more limited options. 3 x 66 = 200 will not help much and 2.5 x 83 = 208 MHz is harder to achieve.

I did the same thing, except I bought the "Retail Boxed Version" so I got the fan included.
