sonki and all: I am in full agreement with your post. These threads are meant for dissemination of information and provide a forum for free discussions. I believe most of the participants on these threads are small individual investors with limited analytical tools and knowledge base and not professional analysts. If someone expresses his/her opinion on any stock, one should take it as one of the several inputs one gets from various other sources. One should do necessary home work and take full responsibity of ones actions. Whatever we do or decide on these threads, MKT does not care. Truth ultimately comes out in the form of MKT and it prevails. We have to abide by that. IMHO

Sonki,

Thanks for the link. Maybe someone can find Trufflette and she can help us figure this one out. I think as long as we don't intentionally tell mis-truths or slander a company or person we are safe. This is still America, that issue will probably end up in the supreme court.

Have a great day!!!

Take Care

Ann

sonki, protect yourself if EMC violates its 200-day ema. You may have bought on a distribution leg up. SUNW is trying to breakout, and things will depend on the NAZ overall. Take care.

Sonki, FREEDOM OF SPEECH

I understand where you are coming from. It is too bad that we now have to worry about one more thing.

So much for freedom of speech in this country. I guess the press can say and write just about anything they want but the lowly individual once again gets the short end of the stick.

Whoops, I should be careful about expressing myself, I may get sued by the press.

Seriously, Good luck and I too will be cutting way down on posting at SI. Maybe I should ask for a refund. gg This market is going to be tough this year.

Peace,

Dennis

Sonki, I was going to put this article on last night but did not think it was worth posting. We would not want to scare everyone. This article is pretty much bunk. As long as you don't post untruth and only your opinion you should be safe. Mo or whoever put that on was doing it as a prank to Paul. Anyone can look for articles, news and post them and give their opinions on stocks. What do you think the analysts, TV, papers etc. are doing? Like I told you yesterday. This is a forum to discuss stocks. Would you jump off a tall bridge just because someone told you it's safe? We tell each other information and what we think about it, discuss it, give our opinion and the rest is up to the indiv. I heard of threads were they are really hyping in order to make a stock move for shorting purposes. If the time arises where we would ever be questioned an anything like this all we have to to is prove that we did not hype while we were selling. Or say something about a company that is damaging without a shred of proof in order to drive the stock down. That would be the worst case scenario.

Articles, what we hear and when insiders sell etc. will always be allowed. That is how we form our opinions. I would not worry about it.

Sonny

Sonki, you are right that the drillers are down a lot. But so is almost everything else. I will still be going back into them. Now the talk is that there will be consolidation in other words buyouts. Someone was talking the other day about Apache. That one was mentioned as a possibility. I wish my GLM would have been mentioned. gg. I would have been in this afternoon. I am still thinking that I can make money on them, maybe soon more than before. But what do I know. I had APM. Actually the drillers are down less than some of my tech stocks. Ok, I am not trying to hype this. I am not in. I just keep on telling you all look at them. When I buy, I will let you know. And it does not mean that you should do the same. Triton has been mentioned as a takeover possibility. I heard all this on CNBC so I should be safe. gg. I think my stocks are down to heartblood now. gg.
