Later in the presser Trump was asked about Steve Bannon’s war on Republican incumbents:
“Steve is doing what Steve thinks is the right thing…”

Their names were Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Ron Johnson, Pat Toomey, and Mike Lee. And McConnell opposed them.

She’s absolutely right, McConnell’s argument here is a strawman. McConnell only wants moderate Republicans who will support his vision and he almost always fights against solid conservative candidates, just like he and Trump fought against Roy Moore.

McConnell has a long history of stabbing conservatives in the back and backing moderates like himself .. like Luther Strange and Don the Con Trumpov.

As for Don the Con, two days before he called Bannon to congratulate him on declaring war on Republican candidates. So which side is Trumpov's agenda on? Bannon's or McConnells?

Trump's only agenda is TRUMP! He has no cause, no policies he cares about, no alliances. No agenda other than self-promotion.
