ECB set for longer, slower taper to keep a lid on euro QE could be scaled back from €60bn a month to €20bn, but extended until late 2018 ft.com ECB will essentially cover Eurozone fiscal deficits, but nothing more. BOJ is now acting as sole buyer of last resort. The US may also have to borrow approximately 500 billion dollars between now and early December. We shall see whether it is real net borrowing and if it has any effect.
