Ed: Good point. I think that most patients feel much more comfortable discussing an organic disorder rather than a psychogenic disorder. That fact and insurance policies can easily distort the reported real causes of ED. I guess that is one of the reasons you see so many mixed diagnoses (organic/psychogenic) on ED clinical studies.

Edderd, "statement that ED is 80% physical disease". Excellent observation.
I have U N T O L D number of patients who comie in my office and say

"doc I can't get it up".
My very NEXT question is " Do you EVER wake up at night with a hard on?"
the answer VERY VERY OFTEN is " Oh yes!" and they look surprised.

THESE PATIENTS DO NOT, DO NOT , have organic ED, REGARDLESS of whether they also have diabetes and cancer and a heart attack.THEY have PSYCHOGENIC ED.

And this is the aerea where Vasomax and very likely Viagra folks want to pull the wool over people's eyes.Because if you call them psychogenic as you very well pointed out their drug won't get paid.

The problem with A L L the Vasomax, Viagra and even the Muse studies
is that NOWERE is it documented IN THE PAPER whether these folks had nocturnal erections. If they did then they don't have organic ED.
In the MUSE study/Vivus they demanded no intercourse in prior 3 months. I would have felt better if they all had been asked and responded to about nocturnal erections.

The bottom line here is that people with nocturnal erections present ARE NORMAL. NOTHING wrong with penis. You have to fix the brain.
Try Ginseng.

You know this Edderd and I know this. But does our investment community< GGG> know it? THAT is the question!!!
