Good point Jay, It can't hurt to advertise the lottery as being... for the public good...It may even instill some civic pride in some players...also it gives them an excuse when they lose...I don't know the sentiment of the Venezuelan people but they also may look at it as putting money into the hands of the corrupt politicians... I don't really believe that the illegal machines can compete with NorAm's for long...either they will have to modify the illegal machines (if that's even possible) to give equal or better prizes or commit them to the scrap heap. With these state of the art machines and NorAm's ability to modify them with the change of a chip, I don't feel NorAm has any real competition from these old clunky illegal VLT's...

The only thing is that the V-land citizens probably think the government is so corrupt that it's unlikely the money is really going to the fund. But they'll play them anyway. dave
