Mike, Hope you didn't think I had disapeared! I thought I would give you a Christmas reprieve! Well... lets just cut to the chase: #877 November 5th DollarBill: "First, regardless of the the postion of the company, as an investor in the company, we must recgonize the fact that nearly all reverse splits result in a substanial decrease in post split valutaion. This is clearly backed up by historical evidence. In fact I have seen some estimates that nearly 95% of reverse splits suffer up to a 50% devalution post split." "As all regular posters and lurkers to the thread are aware the primary reason for ATEC's consideration of the reverse split is to make the stock more attractive to instsitutional buyers. In fact most institutional buyers do have charters that may prevnt them from purchasing stock at less that 5.00/share value. Now then, since WE must recognize the fact that post split our holdings will most likely suffer a reduction in valuation (history again tells us this will happen), it is imperative that ATEC now do something to increase the current valuation of its' stock." #881: Mike Irving: "Let me introduce some simple logic here: ATEC was advised by their 2 investment bankers to do the split, MH.Meyerson and Auerbach,Pollock. Both of these firms are Market Makers in the stock. The point is to acheive $5 plus share price for NMS listing. If $5 is needed, and both MM's advised this split, would you think they will not support the stock post split?? " "To sum up, 95% of reverse splits are done by crap companies. Crap in crap out. As shareholders of ATEC you obviously saw the intrinsic value represented in their stock, and know that they are quality not crap. If you compare ATEC to other splits please use examples of stocks that have SIMILAR fundamentals. Also, keep in mind the logic behind the split in the first place. If we need $5 for NMS why would the 2 MM's let it slip under." Well, as anticipated Mike I felt it was time to check in again to see what the latest hype would be. May I, to use your words, introduce you to some simple logic? Please respond to the following questions that YOU provoked; Why would the the 2MM's let it slip under (5.00 /share)? Where is the support by the MM now? Intrinsic value, please explain that? And dont confuse readers with hype of a "proposed deal." "Crap in crap out" --your words..sorry! As expected currenly ATEC has suffered 30% hit. No suprise to me, you Mike, of course are stunned by this revelation! Whats the latest on the "contract" with the state of New York? Any REAL revenue been realized yet? What was all the talk about aquisitions? Is this "new" supposed contract for Y2K work for real, or just anothe method of hype? Oh and great timing Mike...another PR firm blunder..ATEC releasing "such positive" news a week before the options expirations that will tank the market? Or is this an attempt to prop ATEC up? Glad to see your back! I of course, and for your sake (and your holdings), I hope that the stock comes back ... but tell me, as I said in November: "Since perception is the driving force behind the valuation of all stocks, it is vital that ATEC now get its act in gear and seriously consider the above scenerio!" Has anything changed? Yep the price has fallen 30%! Dollar Bill
