Capt. Jim, thanks for the tip. >>run vdirram which is like a ram disk, and my cache and temp files are maped to it. This to get around "disk" writes that win95 does to the 386swp file. I point this out mostly to point out that with heavy java scripts, any browser can hang during disk writes << And all the time, I thought my boiler pressure was low. : )

John, Thanks so much for the info. I know just enough about computers, especially when it comes to configuring things like cache, to get myself in trouble. Pardon my ignorance, but what is "vdirram"? is that a seperate program or something in Win 95? Joe "The Rookie!"
