I point this out mostly to point out that with heavy java scripts, any browser can hang during disk writes << And all the time, I thought my boiler pressure was low. : )

Thanks so much for the info. I know just enough about computers, especially when it comes to configuring things like cache, to get myself in trouble. Pardon my ignorance, but what is "vdirram"? is that a seperate program or something in Win 95?
