Trump still can't convince Congress to pass one law and he'll never be respected (or accepted) in the US or globally. There is a tiny fraction of people who feel compelled to defend him no matter what he does and their reputations will never recover. At this stage in both presidencies, President Obama and Bush achieved record legislation. Bush was bankrupting us with new tax cuts and Obama was saving us from an economic collapse. Trump spent his first weeks in office lying about crowd sizes, illegal voters and Obama wiretapping him. Some people admire liars. They can't possibly think anyone will respect them, do they?
