Input/Output Inc. (IO) 20 1/2 -5 3/8: Goldman Sachs removes designer and manufacturer of seismic data acquisition products from its "recommended list" rates issue "market outperform"..... Borland International (BORL) 7 1/2 +13/32: late yesterday this PC software developer said that it expects fiscal 3Q results to meet or exceed market expectations while revenues are not projected to deviate materially from expectations; current First Call 3Q estimate is for a profit of $0.04 a share.... Adaptec Inc. (ADPT) 23 -12 15/16: --UPDATE-- Nesbitt Burns lowers rating on supplier of bandwidth management solutions from "attractive" to "neutral" following pre-announcement of earnings for fiscal 3Q; expects problems to last for a couple of quarters; also lowers 1998 EPS from $2.22 to $1.75 and its 1999 EPS from $2.68 to $2.30 a share; lowers price target from $55 to $35 a share..... Any idea whats going on with IO?
