Some Correction for the time to implement the "Double point system" in China Auto industry.

After the strong lobby from EU, U.S., Japan and S. Korea Auto industry against this new regulation, China now decided to postpone the starting time to April 1, 2018. And the New Energy Point calculation will not start until 2019.

The good days in China for major Traditional auto industry around the world is numbered.

The ""Double point system" is something similar to the carbon tax and that's been around since scientists told us about global warming. It's too bad we switch from pro-science to anti-science parties in the US.

I'm not so sure China's electric cars are growing as fast they say since their lithium production has remained about the same. If growth is accelerating, why hasn't lithium production increased to meet demand? Imports from Australia seem to be stable also but those numbers might have some lag time so we'll need to wait a few more months.

I'm fascinated by how China is able to create long-term economic plans like "Made in China 2025" and how this plan expands on the previous plan. Their private equity firms are also investing in foreign countries (GSR Capital invests in SQM.)

Other global electric car companies are moving to China and each of them is partnered with a Chinese company, which seems to be have been the standard for a very long time. Tesla isn't doing that.
