US troops are not in Niger/Mali to protect Israeli interests. In fact, the Mossad has been well entrenched in Africa for decades because many extremist groups originate there and Israel wants to ensure they remain there. The Mossad can teach invaluable African lessons to Team US and Team China...but will more likely let them learn the hard way. Green Berets are not trained as intelligence operatives. And with French intelligence and backup? A definite setup for disaster. French intelligence is notably unreliable and I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw a Mirage.
