The plan was simple. Put the sequestration out there only if a group of right-wing nuts voted against everything in special committee and then only after right wing nuts in both Houses voted against everything. Then hope there was one sane republican who could convince republicans to put the country first and actually write budgets. But now we know there aren't any sane republicans who can write budgets since they let the sequestration go on for seven years.
