I agree Bernie stayed too long and posted that at the time, as I was alarmed by Trump already. He stayed in to get the platorm the liberals wanted, and he got it, but I felt at the time it was a mistake.

People keep forgetting the majority of liberals did not want Hillary. They wanted to move left and wanted Warren, but she would not run and so they took the only ride available which was Bernie and it had to do with his scholarly articulation of the way a modern society should function.

It was a similar situation when liberals did not want LBJ or Humphrey i.e. establishment control.

And what was Hillary doing taking millions of dollars from Goldman Sachs and the bankers in speaking fees knowing she was going to run for president? That hurt her big time.

People also forget that Clinton was as contentious running against Obama, some say more contentious than Bernie. Remember Bill accusing Obama people off using the race card.

But I still say it was Stein that committed the cardinal sin for liberals by splitting the party. What did a vote for Stein get us?

Bernie ran within the Democratic primary and he was supported by most liberals and many workers and new voters. I just do not blame Bernie, he followed the rules and traditions.

Bernie stayed in too long IMO... long after it was clear that Hillary had wrapped up the nomination
