Bill, A national crisis was initiated because of a stealth political hit piece Again, I believe said "crisis" would have been initiated regardless of that dossier. First of all, there's the Russian hacking, which the Obama administration was aware of even before the election. Second, there are Trump's own words, including his tongue-in-cheek call for the Russians to produce Hillary's deleted e-mails. But most importantly, there's the desire to come up with the mother of all excuses for Hillary's loss and why the media was caught off-guard. That's more than enough motivation for the media to continue manufacturing this "crisis."
