Everything is currently down and the SOX is now only 3.3% off of its 52 week low. How many averages can say that? The RS of the semis can only stay so low for so long IMO. This coupled with the increased bearishness in the sector i.e. AMAT's short interest doubled from Dec., the "dead" threads where even the most ardent fans of some of our beloved tech stocks have been silenced, the gloom & doom on CNBC. BION, I take all of the as signs that we are nearing a bottom.

Although we may see weakness in our sector for some time, I have been saying for some time now that the stalwarts of the industry(AMAT, KLAC) should come through this relatively unscathed and should approach the highs they set last August sometime this summer. Once the panic is over and some cogitation is brought to the table by the MM's, we should see discriminant buying in this sector. JMO.

Keep the faith,

Brian
