All: Mike Wendell and his son have decided not to proceed with their letter of intent with Wardell to build a refinery. Mike did say that he would continue to consult with Wardell. The reasons? Declining POG and uncertain financial backing.

Larry,

<<Would you mind explaining how you can factor in these procedural refinements into "back of the envelope" calculations?>>

It's really very simple. I visited the mill and Oro Grande about 2 months ago.
During my tour, I was told that they had made some recent improvements to the
first few steps (i.e. milling, leaching, precipitation) which result in higher
concentrations of goodies throughout the rest of the process. My understanding is
that the first 50oz sample sent to Engelhard was NOT produced by the improved
method. I'm not sure about the Auric sample. True, they haven't reported these
developments in any quantitative manner. It all boils down to whether you
believe what they say to you personally or not. I happen to believe it but I
can't force you or anybody else to do the same.

<<From what I can tell, all we know for sure is that all of the metal GPGI has been able to produce in the last 10 years is worth about $15,000.>>

The truth of the statement wouldn't change if you replace the "10 years" with
"1 year" or for that matter, "6 months".
