I think there are several cable companies that own part of Teleport so now they are partners with AT&T. but regardless of how they get out of or into the home, they will still need to get onto an ISP backbone at some point.

Some days I read all of this information about the telcom mergers and all of this posturing by everyone and I think PSI has the potential to be a very valuable asset. Then I immediately wonder if they might be obsolete already. For instance, the clec's seem to be developing into valuable assets and Schrader says "we're going to be a clec!" Is all this a lot of BS from a sinking ship or will he be proved to have been an agile visionary?
