well if theoretical is the best you can get ...then obviously it is what you can use as a guideline. However, it doesnt really apply to the real world as each company is different and this is one thing I would like to test..theoritical versus..info like Camps. but not sure I am going to be able to get my hands on the info. If you dont have it...it might be impossible to find.

I remember what you said about trading based on this information.

option premium -

think about this Kevin...if a program trade causes the indices to go to your break points....wont it increase your premium abnormally? so in essence you ARE trading off of it anyway...IF it makes it hit your numbers.

Perhaps this is something to look at and a way to gauge when to enter.

If it hits based on NON program trading it may give more of a reward than if it hits simply due to program trading...which when it is over...could change direction and/or strip out the jacked up premium

This is one of the reasons that I want access to this information

you may not see the value of it...but I think it is something that needs to be tested.

and you pinpointed exactly why in your post ....because of what they do to the premium during buy/sell programs.

also you should look at it this way - it could be said...if you are already in a position and you know the program is hitting...sell out when they jack the premium
