"For example, in a study published in January, a team led by psychologist Michael Dodd and political scientist John Hibbing of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln found that when viewing a collage of photographs, conservatives' eyes unconsciously lingered 15 percent longer on repellent images, such as car wrecks and excrement—suggesting that conservatives are more attuned than liberals to assessing potential threats."

Scientific America

I've read quite a few studies on how liberals and conservatives view the world. I see them as an emotional train wreck.

Liberals are naturally open to new ideas while conservative fear change. Conservatives lash out at the slightest comment they disagree with as if it's a personal attack while liberals blow it off.

I notice it here every single day. Conservatives are far too emotional and IMO, there's something wrong with them. Instead of looking things up they're satisfied defending what others tell them. They use memes because they're simple and Russia used memes to control their vote in the last election.

The ACA is complicated which means conservatives will naturally find it disgusting and repugnant. Give conservatives a health plan that fits on one line and they'll sleep like babies.
