>> Actually, i-node here had a moment of Trump doubt, after Trump proposed 'a total and complete shutdown of all Muslims entering our country'. It lasted about two days, then he caught the caboose of the Trump train and never let go!

That was a hard moment for me, as it required me to seriously consider the stark alternatives. Trump was not my choice of candidate, but I knew I did not want a traditional political figure as president (i.e., one who puts party politics ahead of national interest). But I could see that Carson had no chance. I liked Rubio but he lacked experience. Cruz had experience but I didn't like him.

While I'm not a religious person, I believe a free society is impossible without freedom of religious choice. Trump's original comment re: "Muslim ban" put me of entirely and I responded with, "I will vote for Hillary if he maintains that position."

He didn't, of course, but I knew I could never support HRC from the moment I said it. There is just far too much about her that is anathema to what constitutes good government.

In the end, the country made a good decision, and I think that is self-evidence if one looks at the way Trump is running government. We do need the tax legislation, and ultimately, Democrats are going to have to have to take responsibility for the Obamacare disaster and do something to help fix it.

What I see so far, however, is the same as what I believed three years ago: Our government is a lost cause and probably will not be around for long.

I'm looking forward to all my Conservative friends who expressed horror at Bill's BJ, coming up with excuses for Trump when the two peeing hookers finally debut...
