I didn't say Bush said Saddam had anything to do with 9/11 but many polls at the times said that's why we had war. Americans had that lie pushed on them by many sources including fox news and talk radio.

Even after we learned there were no WMDs in Iraq Americans retained that lie for many years. In fact, a decade after the war started and we learned the truth a majority of Americans retained the WMD lie. A few years later we began to stop believing the lies (depending on the poll).

Lies work. It's why republican use them.

Where is their health care plan? They never had one. They know no one would ask to see it. How did they know? Because they created a generation of idiots who never question the party.

Dick Cheney was constantly on the Sunday talk shows FOREVER trying to link Saddam with the twin towers. Bush himself bragged about shock and awe of a unilateral invasion, supported by two Tongans. Remember Freedom Fries as our response to the French when the told us to buzz off?
