MOTOROLA INC. plans to increase its investment in China to $2.5
billion from $1.2 billion by the year 2000, the Xinhua news agency
said on Thursday. Motorola has poured $1.2 billion into a
production center in the northern port city of Tianjin. It plans
to build a second production center in Suzhou city in the eastern
coastal province of Jiangsu, Xinhua quoted Motorola China
