Shalom: Thank-you for your response and your warm welcome. I am delighted with this thread. A number of my Christian friends listen politely when I discuss these matters, but they don't have as much interest as I do. This is a great forum for the subject and there are obviously a number of very intelligent people contributing some very provocative thoughts and insights. Just to make sure people know where I stand, I would like to say that I do not believe that it is not possible (please forgive the double negative) that Christ will return within the foreseeable future. I hope He returns tonight! I just don't know of anything that for sure tells us that He will return soon. Having said that, I found your post extremely interesting and would like to hear more. I am very interested in interpretation of Biblical prophecies and an exploration of the "signs of the times." I firmly believe that Christians are called on to engage in this study, if not for ourselves, then for the benefit of our children, our grandchildren, great grandchildren, etc.
