>>Wrong. This is exactly the Intel's miscalculation. The accuracy of
integer MMX is not enough to provide consistent tessellation under current picture quality requirements.<<<

I didn't know Intel was that lame/cheap and did not implement any
floating point MMX instructions. I guess the use of the FP registers
killed that. But there is always a work around by shifting the decimal
points. Integer math was always faster than floating point, may have
been the intention behind this. The poor mans floating point.

>>It is not "probably", the K6-3D instructions were spacifically DESIGNED to provide effective recalculation of vertex coordinates in 3 dimensions. By definition it is achieved via matrix arithmetics. <<

I assume AMD will be implementing Floating Point matrix arithmetic
capabilitities. Do you know the size of the Arrays it will be able to
handle? The Iplementation will also includes Matrix Multiple and divide?

>>>People say: "money talks, bullshEt walks". No matter how big the Intel's money are, their shEt remains and smells like shEt. The MMX is an example.<<<

Well you know the saying sometimes the best solution doesn't win, it
comes down to the marketing.

cheers

Ali, AMD is starting to look attractive to me at these prices. How low do you think it could go?

Motoralo should now do what they should have done before NSM beat them to the punch. Buy AMD, and really try and take on Intel.

Do you think Jerry would allow this?
