Is this common sense or ignorance.........

Would a company (Dell) cut prices by up to 15% recently if it were concerned about making it's numbers, maybe I'm naive.

Regarding ADPT, they are pretty specialized. I have several of their cards and they are used to run my AGFA scanner as well as my JAZ & Zip drives. These are not typical applications being used by your "average joe" on a PC. So I would not use this stock as any sort of bennchmark.

We are in a market environment where as when they start to warn they get hammered, but will the inverse be true meaning when a company surprises,
will they be equally rewarded to the upside?

When companies like INTC, DELL, CPQ,and other "bell weather" techs start warning about coming up short, then is the time to really start worrying (or start buying after the fall)

What the hell do I know?
JH

p.s. that little swap I pulled Dell (@80) for MRK (@87) is making me look like I know what I'm doing.

Well I've been in meetings all afternoon and just checked
the market... looks like the market thinks everything's
going in the toilet.
